The ALCHEMA pitcher is a 2.4L food grade pitcher designed specifically for fermentation use, exclusively for the ALCHEMA machine. Features include:

The recipe recommends using 21oz of honey (which is equivalent to 1.3 jars of honey, so roughly $15). The batch would produces an equivalent 3 bottles of mead (81 fl.oz).
